WORKS PREFERRED IN THE CLASSICAL PERIOD
The most common pottery in the Classical Period was the red-figure technique, in which the figures are left in clay color on a black background, and the details are added with paint. This richly decorated pottery type, mostly depicting theatre and mythological scenes, became widespread in Greece and Italy in the 4th century BCE.
